Easy Lemon Butter Green Beans recipe
The tang of the lemon in these green beans combats the rest of the fatty dishes served on Thanksgiving. Plus they are delicious. Serves 8.
Ingredients:
- 3 pounds fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1/4 cup butter
- zest of one lemon
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the green beans and cook just until tender, about 4 minutes.
Strain the green beans and place into a large bowl.
Add the butter, lemon zest, and parsley. Toss to combine.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
